Housing For America seeks volunteers who are committed to making a difference in the lives of families in transition. While they may temporarily be without a home, our families are actively working to be self sufficient, to obtain permanent housing, and to maintain their. What we seek from our volunteers is a commitment to basic kindness, the willingness to give a little time, and the desire to help people who already want to help themselves.

You do not need to donate thousands of dollars to make a difference. Instead, you could give one hour a week, teach family members basic cooking skills, help them prepare a budget, or assist them in writing a resume. Anything real life skills that you are willing to pass on makes a difference in the lives of our families. We offer opportunities from internships to more casual participation.
